Human: Fall Flat is a puzzle platformer developed and published by NanaOn-Sha. The player must guide the protagonist, an elderly man with a cane, across platforms to discover what has happened to him. Along the way, he discovers that he is no longer human - he has turned into an anthropomorphized 'human' character with features similar to those of Disney characters. This one-man game is available on Steam for $14.99 USD/£10. 99 GBP, and on the Japanese PlayStation Store for ¥6000 JPY/¥750 USD. The game revolves around the player guiding an elderly man with a cane, called simply "the human". The main objective of the game is to collect eight fragments of a photograph that will enable the player to leave this 'human' form, return to normal, and return home. These fragments are scattered across the area in which the human has found himself. The human can move through three different forms: his old human body, his anthropomorphic character form (containing features similar to Disney characters) , and his 'human' form which is transparent. Depending on the form he is in, he will be able to access different areas of the area. The game has twelve chapters/levels with each chapter having its own theme. Each level ends with a puzzle that involves finding a piece of the photograph. There are six modes of difficulty - very easy, easy, normal, hard, very hard and extreme difficulty. The difficulty can be increased or decreased at any point by using the '+' and '-' buttons on the keyboard. A limited number of lives are displayed at all times above an arrow button(which is also used for movement). Lives are lost when an enemy touches one of these points which can be found on various parts around levels. The player can move using the arrows, interact with the environment by pressing the space bar, or run away from an enemy by pressing 'R'. There are also checkpoints where players can respawn should they die. There are two kinds of enemies throughout the game - ones that will kill the player instantly on contact, and ones that can be interacted with. The former cannot be killed but will be defeated if players lose their last life. The latter is found throughout levels and features many different types including human children carrying baseball bats, human teddies with chainsaws or teddies who chase players around levels. Objects such as poles and ladders are scattered around the game along with destructible objects which break when attacked. After the first chapter of the game, there is a short tutorial that teaches players how to use certain key combinations. At this point, players must use an arrow key to turn the human into his old human form and use another arrow key to return him back to this form. This step must be repeated every time the player enters an anthropomorphic form. Players can either turn themselves back into their old human or return themselves to normal immediately by pressing the 'F2' key. The game contains 40 achievements/trophies and more than 120 collectibles including coins and ribbons. cfa1e77820
